Dear friends

The Silk Road, once connecting the East with the West via lines of caravans, is once more taking its place in world politics in terms of trade, culture and civilizational links. Today, in academic circles and media, we witness much debates, panels and conferences taking place on Silk Road and Central Asia.
Located at the heart of Central Asia and routes of ancient and newly constructed modern Silk Road, Ala-Too International University presents Silk Road Research Center to promote research on our region and beyond for prospective national and international scholars, students and persons, companies and institutions interested or involved in this area. Our Center is open to scholars and students with wide range of opportunities such as; visiting scholar programs, internship opportunities, research programs, weekly and monthly events, seminars, round-table meetings interested in our region and beyond.
We welcome collaboration offers from universities, institutions and other research centers around the globe. Also, we are open to companies and international governmental and non-governmental organizations’ suggestions and supports for our research activities. Silk Road Research Center aims to voice the views from within the region, to become the home of scholarly discussions on wide range of areas and issues related to our region and not only.I sincerely thank you for visiting our webpage and wish all the best.
